Design and Production Technology

The Design and Production Technology programme emphasises practical skills and the use of new technologies. Creative students with a hands-on attitude learn through a combination of theoretical and technical lectures and get the opportunity to work out industrial-like applications in hi-tech labs. Design and mechanical tooling are central to the programme.

Courses open for incoming students

  • Traineeship in Flanders (20 ECTS)

    Students are assigned to a company or a lab at Odisee for 18 weeks; 5 days/week. During this period one or several practical assignments must be submitted.

  • Bachelor's thesis (10 ECTS)

    A written report on one of the subjects addressed during the traineeship.

Registration

To apply for registration, follow the procedure as described on our page.

Credits

  • Number of European credits: a maximum of 30.
  • These courses are open to Bachelor students in Mechanics, Electro-mechanics, Design and Production Technology or equivalent.
  • The courses include lectures, lab exercises, individual and group assignments,...
  • Autumn and spring semester.

Insurance

As a registered student, you are insured for the study-related activities at Odisee, with the civil liability policy and with the collective insurance for accidents, after intervention of the health insurance company.
