Our Odibuddy's are ready for you!

Starting college can be pretty exciting! Arranging housing, getting your degree program in order, finding your way around a city or campus, learning to use Toledo.... . It can all be a bit much sometimes!

Odibuddy's are students who try to guide and support (new) students as best they can during their college career at Odisee! They are happy to help you and are already eager to get to know you and show you around! So, know that someone is always there for you throughout the academic year. We are one big co-high school, because we do everything together! ✌️

What can you turn to an Odibuddy for?

  • Learning and training-related questions

    Not sure how to tackle your studies? An Odibuddy is available for training and study questions such as: how do I tackle a task, what is the best way to study for a subject, how do I write a good email, how does Toledo work.... It is not the intention that the buddies merely send you summaries. What they do want is to give you tips and tricks on how to approach a certain subject or your studies in general.

  • A listening ear

    An Odibuddy is there for a warm chat, someone with whom you can share your experiences and concerns.There is openness to speak and listen to each other, even when things are difficult for a while.

  • Doing fun things together inside and outside the college

    An Odibuddy helps you find your way inside and outside of college. Having a coffee between classes, cooking together, playing sports together, going to a party together.... You and your buddy are free to choose how you meet, where and how often!

  • Referrals 

    An Odibuddy is not a replacement for a student advisor, student psychologist... Sometimes it really gets too much for you and you need some extra help. An Odibuddy can then, always in consultation with you, refer you to the right services. 

  • Referral to appropriate service

    An Odibuddy is not a substitute for a student advisor, student psychologist, etc. Sometimes a buddy himself does not immediately know the answer to a question and it is necessary to enlist the help of another service such as STUVO or the Student Administration Department. An Odibuddy only refers you in consultation with you.

How does it work?

  • Odibuddy is there for all students. You can request a buddy throughout the academic year.
  • You fill out the contact form. We ask some questions to provide the best possible match. Filling in your interests can help, but is certainly not mandatory.
  • The contact form will reach the Odibuddy project group.
  • Based on the information obtained, we will match you to an Odibuddy.
  • Your Odibuddy will contact you. You are then free to figure out how you meet, where and how often!
  • Do you still have questions? Then be sure to contact one of the Odibuddy staff members. Feel free to send us an email!

Become an Odibuddy yourself?

Do you enjoy helping fellow (international) students? Do you like to offer a listening ear? Would you like to answer practical questions and make (new) students as comfortable as possible during their college career? Then become an Odibuddy!

Students often find themselves with a lot of questions they would like to know the answers to even before the start of the academic year. Hence, we like to use our Odibuddy's to answer these questions even before the academic year has started. Hopefully, these students can then begin their college career with a little less stress
