Possible courses for exchange students

  • Traineeship in Flanders (18 ECTS)

    Students will do a traineeship at a company or at Odisee Technology Campus in Ghent. They take part in the activities of the company for 13 weeks.

  • Project Work (6 ECTS)

    The subject in the electronics-ICT field is fixed in consultation with the student. The student receives several theoretical and/or practical assignments that must be performed. The results will accurately be documented in a

    portfolio.

    On a regular basis, the student will demonstrate their results to the lecturer. In addition, the portfolio will regularly be reviewed, and the necessary feedback will be given.

  • Personal development plan (6 ECTS)

    In consultation with the supervising lecturer, the student chooses a topic in personal development. At the start of the semester several concrete objectives will be set along with the working method that will be used to

    achieve these objectives. There will be moments for individual reporting, reflection, and feedback during the semester.

    In the run-up to the final evaluation, the student draws up a portfolio in which is demonstrated that the objectives have been achieved.

  • Bachelor's thesis (6 ECTS)

    This final thesis is often related to the traineeship. Usually one or more topics are studied in detail.

Credits

  • Number of European credits: you compose your own programme, with a maximum of 30 ECTS.
  • The courses are open to students in Electronic Engineering.
  • The courses include lectures and workshops. During the placement period, students work four days per week and attend lectures one day per week at Odisee.
  • Spring semester.

Insurance

As a registered student, you are insured for the study-related activities at Odisee, with the civil liability policy and with the collective insurance for accidents, after intervention of the health insurance company.
