How to apply for an exchange abroad?

Apply now for an exchange in semester 1 of '25-'26

Inform yourself (including about the grant possibilities)
Ask your departmental coordinator internationalisation or DIRO when an information session is organised within your programme.
Look at the grant opportunities and read more about the different types of grants; you can use the grant tool to see which grants you qualify for.
Make sure to read the brochure 'crossing borders'. In this brochure you will find everything you need to know for the exchange semester you apply for.

Apply for an exchange via Mobility-Online
You send in your application the academic year before you go abroad.
- Do you want to go abroad in the 1st semester: deadline December 15
- Do you want to go abroad in the 2nd semester: deadline March 15
Attention, if you want to go abroad for two semesters, you have to apply twice.
Apply now for an exchange in the second semester of academic year 2024-2025 by filling in the Online Application Form in Mobility-Online. Bear in mind that your application is only completed after you have uploaded your CV.

Apply for a grant (outside Europe only)
Through the grant tool, you can submit your application for a grant outside Europe. The deadline is 15 March 2024.
Are you going to study or do a traineeship in one of the EU countries, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway, North Macedonia, Serbia or Turkey, the UK or Switzerland (traineeship only)? Then you do not need to apply for a grant outside of Europe.
