Books

Books, books, and more books! The Open Learning Centres are filled with shelves of reading material, organized by course and subject. Most books can be borrowed, but some works and teaching methods from the Education collection are only available for consultation. Searching for a specific book? Check Limo to see if it's available in your Learning Centre.

Magazines

Magazines are a key component of the physical collection. You'll find both current and past volumes of professional literature, offering a wealth of information and insights.

Is a particular magazine not on loan? Get out your student card and make scans or copies of it. Current affairs magazines can be read at public libraries via GoPress.

School textbooks for cluster Education

Are you a student in a teacher training program? If so, you'll likely need access to teaching methods from time to time. On campuses with teacher training programs, you can consult a range of teaching methods.

Keep in mind that these textbooks are in high demand and used by many students simultaneously. Therefore, you can only consult, scan, and copy them on campus. Unfortunately, taking them home or to your internship class is not permitted.

Didactic materials

Finally, many Learning Centres offer a diverse range of didactic materials. Want to add some fun to your preschool internship with a hand puppet? Or get children to calculate, measure, or weigh while playing? How about practicing spelling with a game of Scrabble?

Did you know we even have a game library at campuses with teacher training programs? Be sure to explore our game collection and borrow materials to enrich your teaching practice!

E-books

We want you to get the most out of our collection. When we find an edition that's particularly interesting, we purchase the e-book so all students can access it. Easily consult all e-books via Limo! Don't forget to log in with your Odisee account for online access.

Databases

Step aside, Wikipedia! Source collection is now done through databases. Many courses have swapped physical materials for digital databases, allowing you to access thousands of online sources from anywhere. Just remember, some databases are only accessible on campus.
