Electronics - ICT (with a major in ICT)

As a student in the Electronics-ICT bachelor’s programme, you will use your knowledge to devise and develop ground-breaking software or hardware solutions in a curriculum tailored for the next generation of computing professionals. Our bachelor programme has a duration of 3 years and consists of 5 specializations: Telecommunications engineer, Internet of Things developer, Network & Security engineer, Software & AI developer, and Web & Mobile developer.

By focusing our students on soft- and technical skills, we help them understand how people and technology connect. As an international exchange student, you will be able to follow courses (30 ECTS) in the second and third year of our bachelor programme. We encourage you to get the maximum out of your international experience by choosing courses based on your personal interest.

Courses for exchange students

  • Traineeship in Flanders (18 ECTS)

    You will do a traineeship at a company or at Odisee Technology Campus in Ghent. You will take part in the activities of the company for 13 weeks.

  • Bachelor Thesis (6 ECTS)

    A final thesis, often related to the traineeship. Usually one or more topics are studied in detail.

  • Project Work (6 ECTS)

    Project within the field of electronics and/or ICT to be carried out in consultation with the supervisor.

  • Personal Development Plan (6 ECTS)

    Choose a topic in personal development after consultation with the supervisor, and define a number of objectives at the start together with the method that will be used to achieve these objectives. Individual reporting, reflection and feedback help you create a portfolio in which you demonstrate that the objectives have been achieved.

Registration

To apply for registration, follow the procedure as described on our page.

Credits

  • Number of European credits: you compose your own programme, with a maximum of 30 ECTS.
  • These courses are open to ICT Engineering students.
  • During the traineeship period, students work 4 days a week and attend lectures 1 day per week.
  • Spring semester.

Insurance

As a registered student, you are insured for the study-related activities at Odisee, with the civil liability policy and with the collective insurance for accidents, after intervention of the health insurance company.
