We offer the learning network 'Sustainable and professional facility management in schools', which is open to all educational institutions in Flanders. We do this by order of the Vlaams Departement Onderwijs & Vorming (Flemish Department of Education & Training) and thus contribute to sustainable learning environments. Inspiration, discovery and activation are central and provided through a diverse mix of theme days, school visits and do-sessions. Become part of our learning network and contribute to sustainable schools in Flanders.
Summary
To support schools in Flanders in sustainable and efficient management of energy, ventilation, maintenance of installations or buildings,... the Flemish Department of Education & Training decided to create a learning network, in line with the Masterplan Scholenbouw 2.0. Over the course of 2023 and 2024, Odisee is therefore setting up the learning network 'Sustainable and professional facility management in schools' by order of the government. The goal is to support schools in making their facilities management more sustainable and efficient.
We offer a learning network in which educational institutions are warmed up about sustainable facility management. Among other things, we work with school visits in which FM professionals (regardless of their exact job title) can learn from each other and from experts in sustainable facility management in educational institutions. In all this, we strive to ensure that participants have the opportunity to network with educational institutions facing similar challenges. It is also our intention to provide a springboard for participants to apply sustainable facility management themselves in their own school context.
All this is done by sharing knowledge, networking, inspiring and providing practical tools. A mix of theme days, seminars, school visits and active do-sessions make up a varied agenda. Each activity focuses on one or more aspects of sustainable and professional facilities management. The learning network is completely free and open to all educational institutions in Flanders.
Sustainable FM scan
The Sustainable FM scan makes it easy to gain insight into where an educational institution stands in terms of sustainable FM. The scan focuses on the most common aspects of sustainable FM in a school environment and uses simple questions and a self-analysis to map the current situation. In this way, the educational institution gains insight into where the pain points and strengths are in their own school. This insight can help to make choices among the wide range and activities and themes offered within the learning network.
