The 3rd edition of the Battle of The Students, basket 3x3 of Student Sport Flanders is coming up!"

What is it?

Battle Of The Students, basket 3x3 is a 3x3 competition organized by Student Sport Flanders with preliminary rounds in different regions and eventually a Flemish Final moment at the Urban Day in Antwerp.

The preliminaries will take place in different regions: Brussels, Leuven, Antwerp, West Flanders, Ghent and Limburg. The local competitions will continue in March & April.

The best teams from the region preliminaries, advance to the final at the Urban day on April 30, 2024 in Antwerp.

For whom:

All students can participate, women's, men's and mixed teams are welcome. As well as all levels!

Subscribing?

You can only register in one region. It doesn't matter which region you enroll in: near where you live, city where you study.... The choice is yours.

The Battle Of The Students - Basket 3x3 is a 3x3 competition, organized by Studentensport Vlaanderen, with preliminary rounds March 7 in different regions and in the end a Flemish final on May 3 in Antwerp.

You can enroll in one of the two categories:

Open series: men’s, mixed and women’s teams allowed;

Ladies’ series: only for women’s teams (will only be organized up to the finals if there are enough teams)

The preliminaries are organized by region, there are 8 regions:

Leuven, Antwerpen, Brussel, Gent, Limburg, West-Vlaanderen, Kempen, Mechelen

Each region chooses the way the preliminary round is organized. The way the preliminary round is organized differs per region. For more information, please check the information in your region: https://www.sportaniser.com/competitions/studentensport-vlaanderen

The winning team of each region will go to the finals at the Urban Day on 3 May 2022 in Antwerp. The rest of the teams going to the finals will be determined pro rata based on the number of registrations.

A look at 40 years of artistic practice by Belgian artist Michel François, from early work to several new creations he made especially for Bozar. Using sculpture, photography, video, painting and installation, the artist creates a web of shifting connections between his artworks. The exhibition is a unique concept in which the 'total artwork' is central and the exhibition space becomes an extension of his studio. François shakes up reality, questions it, and time and again breathes new life into its relationship with art. He transforms seemingly simple objects and materials into bearers of meaning. How can a gesture change the status of an object? What is the influence of the artist's hand? And what is the role of coincidence? 

Brussels Brost is the capital's free student festival and the official kickoff of the Brussels academic year.



PS: As of this year, you will need a ticket to enter at Brussels Brost. All tickets will be scanned at the entrance.

WITH PUBLIC TRANSPORT

MIVB Metro, streetcars and buses stop near the festival site. The following stops are within walking distance:

• Metro 6: Heysel stop
• Tram 3 and 7: stop Esplanade
• Tram 9: Koning Boudewijn stop
• Bus 83: Heysel stop

Biking: There is a guarded bicycle parking area at Palace 12. If you come with a bike from Villo!, there are two bike stations nearby (Atomium and Heizel).

ELEKTRIC STEP OR -FIKE: Brussels Brost is easily accessible by the e-bikes and e-steps of TIER. Around the campuses in Brussels, plenty of TIER vehicles will be available to travel to and from Palace 12 on Wednesday, Sept. 28. You can find a discount code here starting in September.

TO HOME

WITH PUBLIC TRANSPORT: The shuttle buses of STIB run until 3:45 p.m. and go towards the center and Etterbeek.

They are offered to you absolutely free of charge by Brik.

WITCHING THE BIKE: Biking back to the center is mainly to roll down the hill.

But be responsible and don't get on the bike drunk.

UBER: Uber Thanks to Uber, get home safely and cheaply after midnight. Come to the Brikstand to pick up your coupon worth 10 euros and order your Uber via the Uber app.

On Wednesday night, we finally kick off the academic year together at the free student festival Brussels Brost. This year in a new format. The biggest student party takes place in Palace 12, from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m.

As usual we start our afternoon at the K.V.H.V.-Brussels preparty and afterwards we go together to the most unforgettable party of the year.

All associations under the K.V.H.V. gather from 1 p.m. on the terrace at Hermes 1 (room 1119). A DJ, bar and atmosphere are guaranteed! At 5 p.m. we will descend together to Paleis 12.

Everyone is welcome to join us for the start of the academic year and meet new people. You won't have class in the afternoon, although some exceptions are possible, so no reason not to come!"

On May 28, the Belgian Student Championships 1/4 triathlon will take place in Seneffe.

On May 1, the Belgian Student Outdoor Athletics Championships will take place in Oordegem.

  Registrations are is open until April 28, 2023. No on-site registrations.
• STUVO will pay for your participation, you just have to do your best and enjoy the championship.
  
  Please note: Participating students must manually change their club to their educational institution in order to qualify for the BSK classification and consequently not pay their entry fee themselves, as this BSK is part of a regular athletics meeting.

On Saturday 2/03/2024, the BSK Boulder will take place in bouldering hall 'The island' in Antwerp. This BSK is part of the Antwerp Bouldering cup.
